Welcome to the Perton Middle School Website
Welcome to our school website through which we aim to enhance the links between the school and all
who have an interest and a stake in its continued success and development - pupils, parents, the
community of Perton and surrounding districts which we serve, as well as those in the world beyond.
It is our hope that through the website we can foster a greater understanding of the work we do,
and the achievements of our children, in their studies, in sport and music, and in the range of other
activities in which they engage.
We aim also, to provide up to date and relevant information for parents, and an opportunity for
interaction with them.
If you have any views or comments about the site, or any suggestions about how this may be
further developed to improve communication with all who have a stake in the school, please let us
know at the following e-mail

School Band Assembly
Everyone involved in the two school bands have been working very hard this term and all their hard work was realised on Friday 23rd April, where both bands performed in a whole school assembly.
The lower school band played for the first time and were excellent! The upper school band continued on from their brilliant Christmas performance and impressed everyone. We will keep working hard on offering our students the opportunity to pick up their drum sticks, plug in microphones and turn up the amps!
Natural High
On the 21st of March, Perton Middle School was visited by David Graham, who came to talk to years 5 and 7 about his Natural High School Programme. David Graham's Natural High School Programme has been tremendously successful, and has now visited well over 4000 schools, seeing more than 1.5 million students.
The presentation gives everyone the chance to join in, even teachers and guests, proving that positive healthy alternative highs can be found without resorting to 'fake highs' associated with the various different forms of anti-social behaviour.
The Natural High Programme supports the ongoing work of teachers, police officers, drug action teams, health education, local councils/government departments, crime prevention panels, community safety partnerships, charities and many other organisations promoting healthy lifestyle messages or offering support to young people.
Easter Menu
On Thursday the 29th, Perton Middle School will celebrate Easter with a special menu:
Succulent roast chicken served with sage and onion stuffing and gravy, or a scrumptious golden baked cheese and broccoli quiche.
These will be served with roast and mashed potatoes, and broccoli or carrots. For desert there's a choice between a chocolate arctic roll, or banana cake and custard.

Codsall Dance Show
On the 29th February, over 40 girls performed at the Codsall Dance Show where the Perton Middle School Cheerleading club performed a spectacular routine, showing a range of lifts and other moves.
The Dance club performed a complex street dance routine and five Year 8 girls performed a routine to ‘Tik Tok’, which they have choreographed themselves in dance lessons.
A huge well done to all who took part!
Charity Netball Marathon

Remembrance Service
On Wednesday the 11th, we were very proud to accompany all of our year 8 pupils to the war memorial in Perton for two minutes' silence at 11.00 am. The short service was fittingly respectful to all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice on our behalf.
Pirate Day 2011
On Tuesday 8th November as part of Perton Middle School's creative curriculum, all pupils had the opportunity to experience a theme day. In Key Stage 2 pupils had a pirate theme day, and Key Stage 3 pupils had an Olympic Team Challenge day.
The day was a resounding success, with both pupils and staff putting a lot of effort into their pirate costumes.
A very big thank you to all the pupils who really got into the spirit of things, and all the parents and carers who assisted with their costumes. With your hard work and enthusiasm, everyone involved had a very enjoyable day.
